The burnt plaster vulva sculptures form a deeply engaged artistic series that illustrates the suffering and trauma experienced by women who have been victims of sexual abuse. From a technical perspective, the works take the form of wall sculptures in burnt plaster and mixed media, incorporating reclaimed or second-hand canvases. This choice represents the idea of giving materials a new life, symbolizing both resilience and the capacity for transformation. Even where there is loss, reinventing a purpose becomes a way of bearing witness to the fact that loss is not an end in itself, but rather a space for rebirth.
