The casts of female chests are arranged in a fragmented manner, separated from one another, creating a visual tension between the forms and the void that surrounds them. This empty space becomes an element in its own right, emphasizing both the isolation and the presence of each fragment.

By dissociating these bodies from their original identities and placing them within an indeterminate context, the project questions traditional modes of representation and constructions of identity. The viewer’s gaze is displaced: what is presented is no longer a unified body, but a constellation of fragments, at once anonymous and deeply embodied.

The work thus invites reflection on the complexities of the female body, its perception, and its place within social and symbolic space. This shift, between recognition and estrangement, unsettles the apparent certainties of the gaze.

Through the interplay of shadow and light, the volumes emerge and recede, underscoring a constant tension between presence and absence. These two states do not oppose one another; rather, they coexist and mutually sustain each other, contributing to a more fragile, more unstable understanding of the self and its place in the world.
